Monthly Wrap-Up & TBR // December & January

Hello! I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas if you celebrate it and if not, I hope you had a nice holiday and are ready for the New Year!

Today I am bringing you my December Wrap-Up and January TBR!

I read a total of 5 books in December, which is very impressive for me. As I am on Summer school holidays, I have lots of time on my hands to read which is filling my heart.

History Is All You Left Me by Adam Silvera – Broke my heart into a million pieces and honestly took me by surprise. Read my full review here.

Turtles All The Way Down by John Green – I loved this book! I’m a big fan of John Green anyway, but I honestly fell in love with the characters so much and I can’t wait to re-read it! A full review will be coming soon!

One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake – I am some very mixed feelings about this series. I either really like it for a bit and then I can’t stop criticising it. Overall, it blew my mind in one way or another; the pace was so much better and the plot really picked up but the writing just doesn’t fit with me. Once I gather my thoughts, a full review will come.

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them by Newt Scamander (J.K. Rowling), Illustrated Edition – So beautiful and entertaining! Loved every minute of it.

the sun and her flowers by Rupi Kaur  I’m a big fan of milk and honey, it is empowering, moving, haunting and honest. Same goes to the sun and her flowers, I really enjoyed it. Some poems weren’t as hard-hitting or as relatable to me but I love the simplicity of her poems. Rupi Kaur’s work follows the themes of trauma, feminism, empowerment, immigration, abuse, love and growth and is just a really good read.

My TBR for January is a bit relaxed I don’t really know what I want to read but this is what I’m leaning towards. If you’ve read any of these, let me know what you thought, I’d love to know!

That’s it! Thanks for reading and I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year! I’ll see you next year!end card.jpeg
